Missouri Trucking Leadership Forum

Sewing seeds for the future of a healthy trucking industry.

The mission of the Next Generation group within the Missouri Trucking Association shall be to provide education to group members on the importance of the association, to offer networking opportunities in an effort to grow relationships and to prepare members for future leadership roles. 

We expose Missouri Trucking Industry Employees to leadership skills that build competency in state and federal government processes, industry organizational effectiveness, and personal leadership skills.

The Missouri Trucking Association is looking for its 2nd class to participate in the Missouri Trucking Leadership Forum (MTLF). It will be an 8-session, 2-year program led by Mark Walker, Chairman and CEO of TransLand, a Strafford, MO based carrier and MoTA member.

MTLF is designed to expose managers from all facets of the trucking industry to leadership skills that build competency in state and federal government processes, industry organizational effectiveness, and personal leadership style.

Each 2-year class is limited to 12 participants. The sessions will focus on how State and Federal Government Impact the Trucking Industry, How to Build Your Company Culture and Your Personal Leadership Style, Examining Companies that have been awarded “Best Fleets To Drive For” distinction, a Community Service Project, and a Group Project with a theme of “What Makes Companies Great”.

A graduation ceremony will be held as part of the annual MoTA Convention in the fall of 2026.
