CRITICAL DEADLINE FOR DRIVER CERTIFICATION IS TODAY!

The January 30th deadline for driver self-certification is today!. You may have heard there was an extension granted by the FMCSA, however, please note the extension does not cover the driver self-certification. The extension allows individual states more time to link the medical with the CDL, so drivers would not have to carry a medical card.

Every CDL-qualified driver is required to declare:

1. The type of driving they participate in, or anticipate driving in – interstate or intrastate

2. Whether or not they are exempt from the state medical requirements

Failure to comply with this deadline may result in suspension, revocation or a downgrade in commercial driving privileges.

For a complete outline of these regulations, please visit the FMCSA website via the link.
